Rock The Bells tour 2008
Efter en fantastisk sommar då Rock The Bells Tour 2008 med inga mindre än Nas, Mos Def, De La Soul och Supernatural i spetsen gjort succé efter succé i USA är det dags för turnén, som presenteras av Luger och Live Nation i samarbete med Sandisk, att flyga över Atlanten och inta Europa. Med start den 31 oktober i Prag gör hip-hop-giganterna sju europeiska nedslag och den 4 november är det Stockholm och Annexets tur.

Nas, som DN:s recensent Nanushka Yeaman träffande beskrev med orden “New Yorks främste gatureporter”, kommer som Rock The Bells headline-akt att framföra sitt för Europa exklusivt utvalda festivalmaterial. Räkna med låtar från hans senaste monstersuccéalbum ”Untitled”.

Mos Def bjuder på äkta old school hip-hop, och inte vilken som helst. Jan Gradvall beskriver den amerikanska giganten som ” de senaste 15 årens viktigaste artist inom svart amerikansk musik vid sidan av Jay-Z”.

De La Soul, när vi ändå är inne på ämnet old school, har under de nästan två decennier som passerat sedan debutalbumet ”3 feet high & rising” släpptes, alltid kombinerat god musikalisk kvalitet och en förmåga att ligga helt rätt i tiden. Än idag bjuder De La Soul på högklassig hip-hop, helt utan dammig nostalgi.

Supernatural är världsmästare i freestyle. Ytterligare beskrivningar överflödiga.
